Who We Serve

General admissions criteria at Haverhill Pavilion

All admissions decisions at Haverhill Pavilion are made on a case-by-case basis, followed by a careful review of each person’s treatment history and level of need.

In general, our inpatient programming is ideal for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Age 19 and above
  • Struggling with one or more mental health, behavioral health, or psychiatric challenges
  • Experiencing impaired functioning in one or more significant areas
  • Need intensive services and round-the-clock care

Inpatient programming at Haverhill Pavilion is a short-term experience that is designed to help individuals achieve stability and prepare them to attain increased independence. Typical length of stay is five to seven days, based upon progress and need.

To ensure that we are providing focused care in the manner that is most appropriate for each person who is entrusted to our care, we offer age-appropriate units for adults (ages 19-49) and older adults (age 50 and above).

Please note that the age ranges for both our adult and older adult units are flexible based upon which environment is most appropriate for each individual. People who are under age 50 may be accepted into the older adult unit based upon the nature and severity of the challenges that they are facing. Conversely, individuals in their early to mid-50s may be admitted into one of our adult units if that treatment environment is best suited to them.
